Child Care Contribution Credit (CCCC)
Credits for gifts given in 2012 can be accrued for future years!
2012 Changes to the Colorado Child Care Contribution CreditHelp increase the quality and availability of child care in metro Denver through the Colorado Child Care Contribution Credit (CCCC). Due to a change in state law, the Colorado Child Care Contribution Tax Credit will be deferred (but not eliminated) for all gifts made in calendar years 2011 and 2012. Donors who make gifts to CP of Colorado’s Creative Options Centers for Early Education during 2012 will not be able to claim the credit on their tax return until it is reinstated.
The State determined in December 2011 that its General Fund Revenue would not exceed 6% growth and therefore the entire credit from 2012 contributions plus any accrued carry forward could be claimed in 2013. The schedule of allowable credits to be claimed in 2013, 2014 and 2015 will remain the same.
