Thank you for your interest in volunteering at UCP Colorado. UCP is always looking for individuals and organizations that would like to lend a helping hand. There are many ways you can volunteer. You can support Teachers on field trips, perform general maintenance work, assist with office work or special projects or participate in one of our six special events held each year. Our goal is to best match your interests, talents and availability with the volunteer needs and opportunities of UCP Colorado. You can volunteer year round or for just for a few hours. Whatever you choose, we know your experience will be an enriching one and a big help to our organization and to those we serve.

Here are a few opportunities we currently need help with:
Classroom Aides
Creative Options: Centers for Early Education are looking for classroom volunteers to work with preschoolers 3-5 years old. Read to children, get creative with art projects, help teachers on field trips, etc. This is a perfect opportunity to be a positive role model in a child’s life.
Youth Employment Mentors
Serve as a positive and encouraging role model to youth seeking employment!
Our Employment Works department is looking for volunteers to help support and provide tools to teens in our Ready to Acheive Mentoring Program (RAMP).
RAMP uses a model of incorporating group, peer and one-on-one mentoring to promote the successful transition of youth to employment, continued learning opportunities and independent living.
The focus is to build self-esteem and motivation in teens and help them set employment goals and work toward accomplishing them. Mentors work with youth to search online for job postings, help fill out applications, resume writing, practice interviews, and most importantly, get the most out of the relationship!
Know How to Sew? You Can Help!
The Infantile Scoliosis Outreach Program (ISOP), one of our Statewide Services programs, is looking for volunteers to sew "cooling vests." Cooling vests are for infants/small children currently undergoing the casting process for their scoliosis. These vests allow the children to go outside during the summer and help them live more comfortably in the heat of the summer months. A photo of the vests can be found on the homepage of www.infantilescoliosis.com. The vests take about 3 hours to sew and ISOP will provide all materials.
Office/Administrative
We are always looking for individuals to help with administrative duties such as making brochures, mailers, assembling packets, etc.
Administrative/Data Entry
Our statewide services programs are looking for individuals interested in helping with data entry. Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel required. This is a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with the family support services that UCP Colorado offers! Click on the "Statewide Family Support" tab on our website to learn more about each program.
Landscaping
This is a wonderful opportunity for groups! Perform various types of yard work including pulling weeds, pruning shrubbery, etc.
