UCP Colorado and Boy Scouts of America, Denver Area Council
Join Together to Help Coloradoans With Disabilities |
January 24, 2007: UCP Colorado announced today a new relationship with Boy Scouts of America, Denver Council. From this point forward we anticipate a sea of the famous uniforms and friendly smiling faces helping at UCP Colorado. Both non-profit organizations are trying to change lives. The Boy Scouts of America is the nation's foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training. UCP Colorado provides opportunities to 15,000 + Coloradoans through early education, employment and statewide information and referral services. “We are so thankful for the Boy Scouts assistance. And what better way to utilize these young men than having them help those with disabilities?” states Judy Ham, President of UCP Colorado. The Scouts, supervised by their Leaders, will assist at select fundraising events, clean up and restoration of CP’s six Metro Area schools as well as other special projects including the relocation this summer into CP of CO’s new 64,000 square foot facility on the redeveloped Lowry Air Force Base. |
