Credits for gifts given in 2011 can be accrued for future years!
2011 Changes to the Colorado Child Care Contribution Credit
Help increase the quality and availability of child care in metro Denver through the Colorado Child Care Contribution Credit (CCCC). Due to a change in state law, the Colorado Child Care Contribution Tax Credit will be deferred (but not eliminated) for all gifts made in calendar year 2011. Donors who make gifts to CP of Colorado’s Creative Options Centers for Early Education during 2011 will not be able to claim the credit on their tax return until it is reinstated. The availability of the credit in calendar year 2012 will be announced by the Colorado Legislative Council at the end of December 2011. The credit will be available starting again in 2013 in a limited fashion: in calendar years 2013 and 2014, the amount of the credit that can be claimed will be 50% and 75% respectively. In 2015, the credit will return to its original form. Please contact Jerry Hamill, Director of Development, at 303-881-9292 or review the information here.
Thank You Colorado!!
Coloradans did it again. In an astounding demonstration of support for local nonprofits, donors from across Colorado contributed $12 million for Colorado Gives Day--more than 40 percent more than last year's tally of $8.4 million.
Community First Foundation, FirstBank, and more than 900 nonprofits participated in this fundraising event, now in its 2nd year. For CP of Colorado, donations made on Colorado Gives Day give a significant boost to funding the many programs and services we offer.
The specific numbers for our organization have not all been tallied yet, but early indications are that we exceeded last year's participation which raised $39,120! The generosity of our many donors make it possible to provide our clients with the top-quality education, employment, and family support programs that CP of Colorado has been recognized for over the last 65 years! Thank you for your support!
CP of Colorado's partnership with GivingFirst.org provides an easy, secure online donation tool designed to inform donors about our organization and other local nonprofits. All of the information presented is verified by the Foundation’s staff, so you can donate with confidence. What’s more, when you use your credit card to give, Community First Foundation pays the credit card processing fees as a gift to CP of Colorado! Fees are typically three percent of your gift. This means that 100% of your gift will come directly to us!
If you were unable to participate in Colorado Gives Day, but would still like to make a year end donation, you may do so by going to our Donate Now page.
Thanks again for all of you who support CP of Colorado and making the important work we do possible!
CP of Colorado's Wine in the Pines -- A Gourmet Affair!
Food glorious food! The 28th Annual Wine in the Pines brought 500+ international wines and plenty of delicious treats to fanatical foodies JAMES BOND style.
They say the way to a man ’s heart is through his stomach; well many a romance was relived last weekend as taste buds received an extra tickle. Offered up was a mouth-watering menu of gourmet experiences from the Pan Seared Diver Sea Scallops with young cauliflower puree, Meyer lemon marmalade, chive oil and sherry elixir to Iowa Berkshire Pork Loin with roasted pumpkin risotto, blue foot chanterelles, wilted mustard greens and pomegranate veal reduction. Vegetarian? We had that covered too with all the fresh flavors of the season. Does chocolate make you mushy and gooey? Well, when you’ve got it why not flaunt it? Ned Archibald, Keystones Head Desert Chef did it again; he is undoubtedly one of the world’s best chefs in the field. Ned offered a bevy of BOND themed chocolates and sweets; SOMETHING, on the vast display hit everyone’s sweet spot. Wine in the Pines held October 21 and 22 was (as always) the ideal experience for those who love the finer culinary things in life! You should have been there. After all, “YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE”.
